MN Flying Aces schedule

Chris is taking his senior year of HS online through the community college up in Brainerd and playing for the Little Falls Minnesota Flying Aces.  Quite an adjustment (for Mom) to have him living 2.5 hours away!

Camden Cap

Love the new Camden Cap I made from the pattern by Woolly Wormhead.  I used Berroco Vintage in black and now need to find some buttons to adorn the sides of the brim.   Knitting on it at the cabin and watching the fall beauty was pretty great too.

Inlet Journey

Yummy Fiberphile Hand-dyed Super Squish sock yarn became this gorgeous shawl named Piper's Journey by Paula Emons-Fuessle.  I love her podcast and now her patterns too!  Detais here

Jeweled Shawl

Color Affection shawl by Veera Valimaki using some Cascade yarns Heritage in solid colors and a gorgeous hand dyed yarn from Blue Ridge.  Finished just in time for me to tag along (thank you frequent flyer airline miles) with hubby to San Diego!

I cast on 64 stitches, did 2 inches of ribbing and then switched to stockinette.  Regia World Ball color yarn - can't wait to wear!

Cute but wrong for me

This is an adorable pattern but so wrong for my face...

Semi-Instant Gratification

I used some Cascade Yarns Lana Grande and some size 15 and 17 needles to make myself the Weekend Pullover by Diane Saucy.  It was a great way to experiment with some shaping and ease.

I did it!

Found this gorgeous yummy yarn on my "ladies retreat" up in Tofte at the end of June and designed this hat all by myself!  The contrast in colors aren't the best but they are the team colors and will keep me warm during the hockey games.

Frog Tree Alpaca Sportweight yarn

Cast on 132 stitches and did 4 inches of 1x1 rib before 2 or 3 rows of purl (for turning). Then I did about 9.25 inches of patterns that I picked from lots of books. Turned it inside out, 3 needle bind off and sewed the 2 corners together on the outside. Time to wash and block but I LOVE IT!
